my group's overall presentation. we really need to work on the presentation more. in addition, we have learnt that the menu and place cards is old-fashioned and should not be used anymore. think of more creative ways, people! :)

Hi all,
I would like to share with you on my microteaching experience I had 2 weeks ago (sorry for the long overdue post. hehe). There were many things that I have learnt from the experience. For example, I have learnt the importance of pre-preparation, planning and presentation.
Planning accurately and pre-preparation work is soo important to prevent food wastages. When we order food, it is important to know how the ingredients are packed. For example, if you need 3 and a half carrots, you mush order 4 carrots. The remainder, you have to think of ways to use them.
Checking and labelling your ingredients are important too so as to prevent any ingredients from being used up by others. This is one of the areas which my group didnt do and it was a HUGE mistake.
While microteaching, I have learnt that we must be alert at all times. Besides needing to clear up the centre table, we also need to go round and check that all students are doing the correct things. If not, we have to teach them the proper ways of doing that particular step.
All in all, though it was a nerve-wrecking experience, it was a meaningful one as we now know where we went wrong and how to improve future practical sessions. I hope you have learnt a bit from my experience and to my classmates, I wish you all the best for your microteaching!
Thank you!
